ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

McRobb Display is a signage and graphics company based in Edinburgh, and ideally situated to cover the whole of Scotland and the rest of the UK. A family business established in 1971, we have certainly come a long way in terms of our technology and expertise, now offering a wider range of services than any other signage company in Scotland.

Yet, that same family ethos which inspired Norman McRobb to open McRobb Display over 45 years ago is still at the heart of everything we do. Friendly, approachable and loyal to our client base, we take ownership and put our customers’ needs first. It is our honesty and transparency that encourages our clients to stay with us, and sees that we continue to add to our extensive portfolio.

The health and safety of our team, clients and the general public is paramount to McRobb Display. We make every effort to ensure our installation team are up-to-date with the accreditations and training required to undertake each individual project, attending regular health and safety workshops to educate them on accident prevention when working on site. Before any project is undertaken, we will carry out a site survey during which we will establish what specialist tools, equipment, material, and machinery are necessary.

For larger scale signage projects we may consult a structural engineer to instruct them to carry out a survey too. If there is any question of safety, we simply will not carry out a project until all of our concerns have been addressed.

McRobb’s installers are CSCS, IPAF and PASMA cardholders, with our Installation Manager holding an SSSTS card. We are Safecontractor and Constructionline accredited and our Health and Safety management systems are approved by Citation Ltd.

At McRobb Display, we believe in a sustainable environmental future and we are trying to ensure that we are doing what we can to create a greener planet for the next generation in every aspect of our business. Some of the ways we are trying to achieve this is by recycling our waste whenever possible, using environmentally friendly inks in our printers, whilst using paper stock from sustainable sources, that has, and can be recycled. This isn’t always achievable due to bespoke customer requirements, but we aim to encourage it whenever we can.

We work to continually review and improve our performance by reviewing our suppliers, in-house processes and the efficiency of our equipment and printers. Packaging material and paper are recycled whenever possible, and water and energy usage is carefully controlled. No lead-based paints are used in our studio, and the majority of our printing is now digital, with our screen printing station used only when a client specifically requests it. Active steps are taken to manage and reduce wastage and pollution, and every effort is made to minimise noise pollution to our neighbours.
